Face Reality’s Acne Bootcamp

Ready to clear your skin?

  • The prescriptions from the doctor or dermatologist aren't working? Tried countless products, and still breaking out? Considered going on Accutane, but think it's too risky? If you are dealing with acne, it's time for real answers.

    Nothing, including prescription medicine, can cure acne, and there is no "one size fits all" solution for acne. Treatments must be customized for your acne type and severity, as well as your skin type and condition. Dramatically improve your skin and invest in yourself with my Acne Boot Camp program combining the power of professional treatments and clinical-grade homecare products.

    Pre-care

    You must be off Accutane for at least 60 days and/or any topical prescription medications for at least three weeks before you can begin the program. These drugs can cause hypersensitivity and aggravate the skin.

    Consultation & Analysis

    An in-depth consultation and skin analysis will assess your skin type, conditions, type of acne, and lifestyle factors that may be contributing. You will have preliminary pictures taken for our records. (This is necessary to follow progress)

    Homecare & Knowledge

    Now that we've determined our plan of attack, you will start your custom homecare regimen. I will arm you with knowledge of your new products and exactly how to use them. I will also set you up for success with information and handouts regarding lifestyle factors, diet, and more.

    Treat

    It's important to follow your treatment plan and home care as advised by your acne specialist. Commitment is key to achieving results, and you must be willing to make that commitment for at least 3 months. Home care is essential to our acne program and the success of your treatment plan. Be expected to spend an additional ~$200 on products that last you around 4 months. Each acne treatment may vary based on your skin needs at each service. There will be times when your skin needs more hydration, and other times it will need more anti-inflammatory and/or anti-bacterial action. Treatments are performed every one to two weeks until your skin clears. During the consultation process, we will determine the recommended number of treatments. Once we have cleared your acne, you will need to go on a maintenance program every 4-6 weeks and continue with your home care as prescribed. Keeping up with your treatments helps to speed up the clearing process, and ensures we're keeping your barrier healthy.

    Additional Information

    You may notice that your skin looks brighter immediately after you're finished with a treatment, and you will appreciate the full results over several weeks. Within the next few days following a facial your skin may feel tight and dry, you might see minor flaking, you may have some mild irritation, and your skin may begin to purge any superficial acne; so post-facial breakouts are normal. Post-facial breakouts are normal because the sebum is already in the skin and is brought forward with the shedding of the top layers of skin. So it's not suggested that you get a facial on the same day of any major event. Remember, the goal of an acne facial is to purge all bacteria, shed, and renew skin cells so clear skin will not occur until at least 6-8 treatments are completed.
